Life in England
Walter met and married a nursing sister while in England recovering from a gunshot wound to the foot and buttock. They had twin sons in 1920 and made numerous voyages to Australia to visit family, but always returning to England. His occupations listed on passenger lists varied from motor mechanic, farmer, electrician, poultry farmer and dairy farmer
