Son of Hugh Fox and Norah Fox nee Bergin of 'Ferndale' Bald Hills, QLD. Brother of Edward Bernard Fox who returned to Australia on 15 May 1919 having served with the 2nd Light Horse Regiment, Hugh Fox, John Fox and Bridget Mary Fox

On 8 September 1920c Eugene married Olivia Mary Lackey in QLD 

Commenced return to Australia on 11 May 1919 aboard  Zealandia disembaking on the 28 June 1919 in Melbourne for onward travel to QLD
