"..644 Private Gordon Leslie White, 32nd Battalion. A gardener from Hectorville, South Australia, prior to enlistment, he embarked with B Company from Adelaide on 18 November 1915 aboard HMAT Geelong (A2) for Suez. He was hospitalised in Egypt and consequently he did not join his battalion on the Western front until 26 September 1916. Pte white was wounded in action near Etricourt, France, on 29 September 1918 and died of these wounds in No3 Australian General Hospital, Abbeville, on 14 October 1918.
