Private Hartley Rice, who is reported to have been wounded at the Dardanelles, is the only son of Mrs. Rice, of Hotham st., Traralgon. He is also a grandson of Mr C. H. Gales of Traralgon. He has evidently been in a good deal of the early fighting, including the now historic and brilliant landing at Gaba Tepe. Mr. Gales has a son and several son-in-laws in the the Expeditionary Forces. Private Rice is not seriously wounded.
