Lindsay Kemble was born at Korringa SA, he enlisted under the name of Victor in Sydney.  He was a vaudeville performer doing female impersonations, dancing and singing.  After enlisting he used his talents by performing in the 1st Divisional Concert Party "The Sentimental Blokes" which was begun by Lt Douglas Walsh of the 10th Battalion. The Concert Party remained in London after the war and performed for the Prince of Wales.  He toured Australasia after the war with ex-Digger vaudeville troupes such as Mademoiselle Mimi.
