Son of John August Ohlson and Annie Ohlson of Wazier Street, Arncliffe, NSW.

Brother of Anton Adolph Ohlson who returned to Australia on 12 May 1916 having served with the 56th Battalion.

Commenced return to Australia on 11 May 1919 aboard HT Zealandia disembarking on 1 July 1919

During 1921c Albert married Stella V. Sadler in Rockdale, NSW. At the time of his death Albert was senior clerk at Lock 10, Wentworth.
