Biography contributed by Stephen Brooks

"His only brother enlisted but was rejected through defective eyesight. I was deterred from joining through old age to my sorrow. All I could do was give my youngest son full consent to join up. He was buried in St Sever Cemetry Extension." Father on Roll of Honour Form.

The son of Waldemar and Eva HALLETT, 29 Longridge Street, Middle Park, Victoria. He had come out to Australia at the age of 15 and was working on the Sloane property at Wyambah, Mulwala NSW.
