Son of John Orr and Priscilla Rebecca Orr nee Rundle of Echuca, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 24 September 1918 from Taranto, Italy aboard HT Kaiser-a-Hind then transhipped in England aboard HT Devon on 16 October 1918 disembarking in Melbourne on 23 November 1918

During 1914c Alfred married Elvina Florinence Lillian Davis in Melbourne
