At the time of enlistment he was residing in Claremont, Tasmania.

Next of kin given as his sister Kate Mulligan of South Riana, Tasmania

Commenced return to Australia on 25 September 1919 aboard HT Port Denison disembarking on 13 November 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Hobart.
