Biography contributed by Richard Allen

James Horace Maslin was born in Bridgetown on 6th June 1895. His father was James Andrews Maslin, a prominent pioneer in Bridgetown and the Blackwood region. Probably to avoid mix-ups, young James acquired the nickname Horrie which stayed with him his entire life.
