Served during The Great War, resting at Sandgate Cemetery.
81 years ago today, on the Saturday morning of the 28th February 1942, Private Frank West Lott, 36th Battalion (Reg No-2603), labourer from the Centennial Hotel, Newcastle, New South Wales and 2 Bedford Street, Georgetown N.S.W., was laid to rest at Sandgate Cemetery, age 46. PRESBYTERIAN-10NE. 31.
Born at Islington, New South Wales on the 2nd July 1895 to Frank West and Emily Jane Lott (HUTCHINSON); husband of Jessie M Lott nee Harvey (married 1920, Hamilton, N.S.W., died?), Frank enlisted September 1916 at Newcastle, N.S.W.
Wounded in action - 30.4.1917 (GSW right knee).
Mr. Lott’s name has been inscribed on the Cooks Hill Superior Public School Roll of Honour Board 1, Carrington Citizens' Memorial Gates and the Carrington Municipal District Roll of Honor.
I have placed poppies at the gravesite in remembrance of Frank’s service and sacrifice for God, King & Country.
