Older brother of 260 Pte. Alexander Dennerstein (/explore/people/300244) who returned
"...14861 Private William Dennerstein 1 Casualty Clearing Station of Thornbury, Vic, aged 19 years. A clerk prior to his enlistment on 17 June 1915 Dennerstein embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Seang Choon on 23 September 1916 and returned to Australia on 1 August 1919." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
At the cessation of hostilities William attended the Royal Acadamy of Music in London to study violin and harmony, from 27 Mar 1919 until 21 Jul 1919
