Younger brother of 14861 Pte. William Dennerstein (/explore/people/120646) who returned
"...260 Private Alexander Dennerstein of 1 Casualty Clearing Station, of Thornbury, Vic, aged 18 years. An electrical engineer prior to his enlistment on 16 February 1916 Dennerstein embarked from Melbourne on board HMAT Persic on 3 June 1916 and returned to Australia on 1 July 1919." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
