Military Medal
'During the operation at MORLANCOURT near ALBERT, on the night 10/11th June, 1918, this N.C.O. was a member of a carrying party. After having made two trips under heavy shell fire, to the captured objective - the second trip being one of a mile, he volunteered for a bombing attack with another Company, and did excellent work in assisting to repulse a German bombing attack. He then carried a wounded Sergeant back to the R.A.P., a distance of one mile.'
