Harold (Jack) Edward was born in 1909 in Perth WA, the second of eight children of Francis (Frank) John Abbott Eastlake (b1878 in Stawell, Victoria) and his first wife Jensine Kirstene Emelie Jensen (b1882 in Sollested, Denmark). Frank (a Labourer) and Kirstene married in 1907 in Day Dawn WA. By 1917 the family was in Perth WA where Frank was an Engine Driver and Works Foreman.
In 1934 Jack was a Coach Painter in Perth WA when he married Mavis Torrington Hooper (b1912 in Northam, WA). Jack and Mavis settled in Perth WA where Jack was a Coach Painter when he enlisted in the ACMF in 1942 (Private; Service No:W59770). He was attached to 124 General Transport Coy when he was Discharged in June 1945.
Jack and Mavis lived in Perth WA where Jack worked as a Coach Painter and Foreman. Mavis died in 1951 and Jack in 1996.
