Harry Borlase CLARK was born in Sebastopol, Victoria in 1895

His parents were Henry CLARK & Mary Elizabeth BORLASE

Harry Borlase Clark (SN 3270) was born in Sebastopol and attended the Sebastopol State School. He was 19-year-old, single, Carpenter, when he enlisted on 8th July 1915. He trained at Geelong and Broadmeadows before embarking aboard the Nestor in October and joining the 14th Battalion in Egypt. He reached France in June 1916 and appears to have avoided injury or illness before he was granted leave in the United Kingdom from late August 1918. He rejoined his unit in France on 14th September but was seriously wounded just four days later. He was evacuated to the 5th General Hospital at Rouen but sadly died of his wounds on 7th October 1918. He was 22-years-of-age and is buried in St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, France.
