Son of David Henry and Ellen TASKER.
PRIVATE TASKER.
Private William George Tasker, aged 23 years, reported wounded, is the third son of David Henry Tasker, sen., of Goodwill, Condobolin, in which town he was born. He was educated at Newington College, and was a well-known footballer. At the time of enlisting he was engaged in the head office of the A.B.C. Bank.
An international Rugby Union player. Captained the Great Public Schools' Team. Member (five-eighth) of the Australian Rugby Union Team that toured America and New Zealand in 1913. Captain of Newington College Team; Captain of Newtown Rugby Union Team.

An international Rugby Union player. Captained the Great Public Schools' Team. Member (five-eighth) of the Australian Rugby Union Team that toured America and New Zealand in 1913. Captain of Newington College Team; Captain of Newtown Rugby Union Team. Enlisted in 1915 in the 13th Bn. Severely wounded at Quinn's Post, Gallipoli; invalided back to Australia. Re-Enlisted in 1916 in the 116th Howitzer Battery. Twice wounded in France.
