Biography

James Angus Wallace came from a large and loving family, his parents Charles and Minnie Wallace immigrated from scotland in 1884 and settled in North Queensland.

His father worked for the Queensland Railway and when James finished school worked the railways also.

He attended the Mareeba State School and because of this the town of Mareeba named a street in his honour on the 19 april 1990.

The street was called Wallace Drive, Mareeba.
