"Man Dies At Races

Joseph McEvoy, about 70, of Broken Hill, collapsed and died on the flat at Cheltenham Park Racecourse on Saturday. Plainclothes Constables Gill and Liebing, of Port Adelaide, are preparing a report for the Acting City Coroner (Mr. G. Ziesing, SM)." - from the Adelaide Advertiser 23 Dec 1946 (nla.gov.au)
