Frederick Robert Reschke was born in Wilmington, South Australia in 21st November, 1890. His mother’s name was Wilhelmina Reschke and he had two brothers. He worked as a farmer on the station with his dad (Frederick William Reschke) all of his life before he enlisted in the war. He enlisted in the war on May the 1st when he was 25 and a half years old. He was accepted and entered the 50th infantry battalion as a private.

He then embarked on a ship by the name of HMAT Afric A19 on the 6th of November 1916 from Adelaide. He fought in the war from 1916 to February 1917. On 22nd January 1917, Frederick developed spinal meningitis and had to go to the ships hospital for treatment. On the 9th of June 1917, he was wounded in action and was taken to England. He then returned to Australia on the 8th November 1918. In 1957, he died from unknown causes. He was buried in North road cemetery with his mother Annie Johanna Wilhelmina Reschke.
