Death Of Boer War Veteran
An old Canberra resident and Boer War veteran, Mr. Louis Radclyffe, died in Canberra Community Hospital yesterday, aged 83. Mr. Radclyffe served with Loch's Horse in the Boer War and with the 24th Battalion in World War I. He came to Canberra with the Patents Office in 1933. In the early days of Legacy in the A.C.T., after the First World War, Mr. Radclyffe was an active worker in the branch. He was also a member of the Barton sub-branch of the R.S.L. After his retirement, Mr. Radclyffe settled at Mossy Point. He returned to Canberra a year ago.
