Son of Charles William Osborne and Elizabeth Osborne nee Worton of Port Adelaide, SA.

Next of kin given as a friend Florence Quick of Wooroloo, Perth, WA. Thomas and Florence later married in Perth, WA during 1920c.

Commenced return to Australia 10 July 1918 aboard HT Barunga which was torepdeoed and sank on 15 July 1918. Thomas and others were picked up and returned to land on 16 July 1918. Days later Thomas continued his return to Australia aboard SS Carpentaria.
