Joseph Emmanuel ROBBIE
Joseph Robbie was my grandfather. He immigrated from England when he was a teenager in early 1914 (prior to the war) as a farm student and settled in country NSW. He enlisted in the Australian Army in March 1916 and saw action in France. Joseph survived the war and returned to Australia in 1919. He married shortly after he returned home and spent the remainder of his life living happily in Australia. He never returned to England.
