Biography contributed by Helen digan

From the Sydney Mail, 1917:

'Private Finlay Arnold McRae who has been killed in action, was the second son of Mr and Mrs T[homas] McRae, of the Police Station, Annadale.  He enlisted in August, 1915, and left Sydney in December for Egypt.  After some time he was transferred to France, and took part in the Bapaume, Pozieres, and Armentieres engagements.  Private McRae was afterwards transferred to a machine gun section and met his death in the Bullecourt fighting on May 15.  A younger brother, Prvate George McRae, is on active service in France.'
