Biography

"...1154 Private Henry Charles (Harry) Keid, of Graceville, Qld. Pte Keid, a farmer in civilian life, enlisted on 5 October 1914 along with his brother 1153 Sergeant Edward Alexander Keid, both serving with the 9th Battalion. After his brother Ted's death, Pte Keid was recalled for family reasons and returned to Australia on 10 January 1918. He was the eldest of six brothers who enlisted, four of whom, including Sgt Edward Alexander Keid, were killed in action and one wounded." - SOURCE (www.awm.gov.au)
