Remembering Lloyd.

Private Lloyd Douglas Stevenson (S/N 7800) was born in Port Frederick Tasmania on the 12th May 1896. The son of John Mawer Stevenson and Eliza Stevenson (nee McGinty). He embarked Melbourne, Victoria on August 4th 1917 with the 91st Infantry Battalion.

He was serving in the 12th Battalion 26th Reinforcement when he was killed in action on 23rd April 1918 and is commemorated in the Meteren Military Cemetery, Meteren, Nord, France. He was just 21yrs old.

His brother Lemuel Mervyn Stevenson (S/N 3126) was also killed in action on January 28th 1917 and is commemorated in the London Rifle Brigade Cemetery, Comines- Warneton, Hainaut. Belgium.

Born 12th May 1896 at Port Frederick -Devonport the son of John Mawer Stevenson and Eliza Stevenson (nee McGinty) he embarked Melbourne, Victoria on "HMAT A32 Thermistocles" 4th August 1917 with the 91st Infantry Battalion.

He was serving with 12th Battalion /26th reinforcement (unit 24) when he was killed in action on 23rd April 1918 and is commemorated in the Meteren Military Cemetery, Meteren, Nord, France. He was 21yrs old.
