Frederick Blake served at the Landin on Anzac with the 15th Battalion AIF, until his death on 8 August 1915. His brothers,

7876 Stoker Ernest Fleming Blake HMAS AE1 drowned when the submarine went down with all hands 14 December 1914, age 22.

916 Corporal Walter Henry Blake 9th Battalion AIF also was wounded at the landing, wounded again 7 August 1915, killed in action, Gallipoli, 2 November 1915, age 26.
