No known grave Chaplain W.K. Douglas wrote to Edith Stevens that Arthur had been killed instantly by machine gun fire and that he had buried Arthur and some others and a cross had been placed. Grave was destroyed during the heavy battle which followed, Villers-Bretonneux Memorial, Villers-Bretonneux, Picardie, France
