Son of William Haywood Vincent and Bessie Haywood nee Cole of Pender Street, Preston, Victoria.

Commenced return to Australia on 7 July 1919 aboard HT CHemnitz disembarking on 5 September 1919

During 1922c William married Dorothy Agnes Meades in Victoria
