Son of Oliver Orman and Elizabeth Catherine Dorrington formerly Orman of Newtown, NSW.
Brother of Oliver Ferdinand Orman who returned to Australia on 12 May 1917 having served with the 36th Battalion; Henry Pinker Orman who returned to Australia on 10 November 1919 having served with the 6th Railway Operating Company.
