Son of John Jackson and Mary Ann Elizabeth Jackson (Nee Hapgood)

Fred was very active in the ex-service community and TPI Association of Australia, being instrumental in forming the Far North Coast New South Wales Branch Sub-Branch.

He assisted many veterans with pension claims.

Fred was a prolific writer of poetry.
