Harry was the fourth of five children of Thomas Weeks (b1883 in London, England) and Sarah Jane Walden (nee Wilson; b1884 in London, England). Thomas (a Fettler) and Sarah were in Beverley WA when their first son was born, and lived in Coolgardie, Narrogin, Glenn Forrst and Perth WA where Thomas worked on the railways (WAGR).
Harry was a Dairyman in Glenn Forrest WA when he enlisted in the ACMF in January 1942 (Private; Service No:W8501) and was 'in the field' on 19 July 1942 when he enlisted in the AIF. Harry served with 2 Field Squadron RAE and 10 Field Regiment. He served in New Guinea/Solomons (12 May 1944 to 9 July 1945) and was a Corporal (Service No:WX25506) attached to 5 Australian Provost Coy when he was Discharged in June 1946. Harry wrote to the Army Records Office (18 June 1982: National Archives Australia) 'I trained at the Darly Training Centre and was promoted to the rank of Corporal and was transferred to Queensland, the Table Lands, then to New Guinea and then to the Philippines. I was on Stirling Island for considerbale time before being transferred to 5 L of C Provost Corps, Perth, on compassionate grounds'.
In 1946 Harry married Elsie Gwendoline Derrick (nee Heberle; b1915 in Sydney, NSW) and worked as a Police Constable in Perth. Harry and Gwendoline Divorced and in 1952 Harry married Teodora Manucci (b1928 in Sicily) - Teodora immigrated with her parents in 1935, arriving in Fremantle on board the Remo. Teodora worked as a Machinist and Harry as a Truck Driver. Harry and Teodora settled in Perth WA and in the late 1950s Harry was a Traffic Inspector. Harry died in 1986 and Teodora in 2000.
