Son of Harry A. and Minnie Earey of 49 Albert Square, Stratford, London; brother of George Earey who returned to Australia on 25 JUly 1919 aboard HT Port MacQuarie having served with the 21st and 24th Battalions

11 March 1917 - had a middle finger amputated due to an old self inflicted wound
