Leonard actually asked for 2/1 Battalion for his Discharge certificate.

 

He was with 2/24th when awarded his DCM while fighting in the Middle East he was a Sergeant then. While an Officer he was in New Guinea with the 2/1st .

 

He was already enlisted in the Militia when he joined the AIF. So additional service number 333263 enlisted 19 Jan 39 at Drouin Vic.
