Plumber most of his life

Private during the war - 16th Motor Regiment then onto the 2/48th Battalion (being involved in the taking of Lae but ended up in hospital in Port Moresby for several weeks).

Married 3 times

1st Marriage - 2 children

2nd Marriage - 3 children

3rd Marriage - no children

Lots of grandchildren and great grandchildren

Passed 2012 - nearly 93 years old

Robert loved fishing and spending time with family. He loved travelling, worked hard, didn't drink much and loved to chat. He owned a motorcycle in the late thirties and rode it around the Hunter river.
