PTE. EPHRAIM HEWETT
A Korong Vale correspondent writes :
"Quite a gloom was cast over the town on Monday when Mrs W. Vernon received word that her brother, Ephraim Hewett, had died of wounds. The young soldier was a native of Korong Yale. His parents went to West Australia about seven years ago, from which place he enlisted. He was wounded previously. Two brothers are still on active service. Much sympathy is felt for his parents.
