Full name was Cornelius Vincent O'Rourke but aerved as Cornelius O'Rourke.

Son of Thomas O'Rourke and Bridget O'Rourke nee Dwyer of Roma, Qld.

Prior to enlisting Cornelius was employed by the QLD Railway Goods for over three years.

Commenced return to Australia on 24 August 1917 aboard NZHT Pakeha disembarking on 22 October 1917
