Son of Darnley Charles Hookey and Mary Matilda Hookey nee Annal of Melbourne, Victoria
At the time of enlistment he was residing in Quirindi, NSW
Next of kin given as his brother Walter James Hookey of Bay Street, Port Melbourne, Victoria. Walter returned to Australia on 22 April 1919 having served with the 8th Battalion
