Son of  Joseph and Emma Louisa VIRGO, Pine Mountain, Ipswich, Queensland

He's a descendant of the Curtis's of Bristol and Birmingham who have always fought for and died for dear old England. He's also related to late Capt Gardiner who saw Indian Service.

MEMORIAL SERIVCE
A memorial service for the late Pte. H. C. Virgo, who as reported killed in action in Flanders last week, is to be conducted in the Brassall Methodist Church, by the Rev. W. Little. tomorrow (Sunday) September 3, at 11 a.m. The late Pte. H. C. Virgo was a member of the Hope of Ipswich Tent of Rechabiltes and members of the tent and sister tents are invited to present at the service a bus will leave the fountain at 10 a.m.
