"...3980 Private (later Sergeant) Horace Aitken Jolly, 9th (later 49th) Battalion, of Lismore, NSW. Son of James and Jessie S. Jolly. A clerk prior to enlisting, he embarked from Brisbane aboard HMAT Itonus (A50) on 30 October 1915. He was killed in action on 13 August 1916 in France, aged 21.
