Driver Harry Augustus Jones (Service No:3119) enlisted in the AIF on 31 May 1916. Private Jones embarked from Fremantle WA on 13 February 1917 with 10th Light Horse Regiment bound for Suez on board HMAT A6 Clan MacCorquodale with his brother Tom (Service No:3120). Driver Jones embarked from Kantara on 10 July 1919 for the RTA on board HT Oxfordshire and was Discharged on 4 October 1919. 

Henry Augustine (aka Harry) wasborn in 1895 at Gullewa nr Geraldton WA, the fourth of five children (sons) of Thomas Edward Jones (b1857 in Greenough, WA) and Mary (Gussie) Augusta McCoo (b1870 in Greenough, WA). Thomas was Publican at Gullewa Hotel in 1888 when he and Gussie married at Yalgoo WA. Following Thomas' death in 1897, Gussie became Publican and in 1904 at Yalgoo WA remarried to Emmett Michael Gill (b1869 at Spring Creek, Victoria). Emmett died in 1918 and Gussie was the Hotelkeeper at Pindar, WA.

Harry was a Farmer at Pindar prior to his enlistment in the AIF. In 1920 Harry married Molly Morrisey Gibbons (b1894 at Dongara, WA) and the couple settled in Pindar where Harry worked for the WAGR as a Caretaker before becoming a Farmer in 1922. Molly died in 1962 and Harry Retired to Mullewa before relocating to Perth in the Late 1960s where he died in 1978.
