"...2629 Private Charles Frederick Morris of Ballarat East, Vic. Pte Morris enlisted on 9 June 1915 and served briefly in Australia with Depot Unit. In July 1915 he joined the 8th Battalion and left Australia aboard the SS Marakini on 15 September 1915. On 24 February 1916 he joined the 60th Battalion and on 22 November 1918 was transferred to the 58th Battalion.
