Son of John Melbourne Oliver and Annie Lucy Oliver nee Davidson of Olive Street, Albury, NSW formerly of Nhill, Victoria.
Brother of Loftus Oliver who died on disease on 13 April 1917 having served with the 8th Field Artillery Brigade and is buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Plot X1, Row E, Grave 16.
Not eligible for medals due to being discharged at Albury, NSW
