Informtion has been received that Corporal Allan Robb NX52565, brother of Mr. Don. Robb, Banna Avenue, Griffith, was killed in action in Malaya on January 22, 1942. He was the fifth son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Robb of Leeton. He was a native of Leeton and was 23 years of age. For four and a half years he worked for his brother Don Robb. He was a keen cricketer, playing with various teams. He enlisted a year and 10 months ago and went ot Malaya with the first contingent, sailing in January 1941. As late as Satureday week a letter was received from him. At that stage he had been in action.
A younger brother, Private Lindsay Robb NX52566, aged 21 years, who sailed at the same time was, as far as is known, serving with Allan. He was, prior to enlistemtn employed by Richards & Co., Leeton. No word has been heard of him.
