News has reached Warwick of the death from wounds received in action in France of Private Charles E. Hart, son of Mr. John Hart of Wood street Warwick. Private Hart enlisted in the Maryborough district and left for the Front about a year ago.' from The Brisbane Courier 28 Jun 1917 (nla.gov.au)

Alvilda Kristine married Charles on 25 August 1916. The best man was A Berthelsen, the brother of the Bride. The bridesmaid was the sister of the groom. The Bridegroom and best man embarked for overseas on 19 Sept 1916. Sadly Charles DOW on 9 June 1917. It would appear that Alvilda remarried. She went on to have a long life. Alvida Tranter, nee Berthelsen, Widow of Charles Hunt, died 20 Novembver 1974 aged 81. It would appear that Alvilda married Francis David Tranter, he also went on to have a long life. Francis died 16 May 1976 aged 79.
