Private Edward George Austin (Service No:T42515) served in the ACMF from 15 March 1941 to 26 December 1941. Private Austin was attached to 10 Auxiliary Heavy Transport Coy AASC at Discharge.

Edward - born in 1910 in Scottsdale, Tasmania - was the third of six children of George (Bill) Alfred William Austin (b1879 in Launceston, Tasmania) and Clara Elizabeth Carey (b1881 in Rigarooma, Victoria). Bill (a Labourer) and Clara married in 1906 in Scottsdale, Tasmania where they settled and raised their family and Bill worked as a Labourer.

Edward was a Bullock Driver in Scottsdale when he enlisted in the ACMF and lived all his life in Scottsdale where he worked as a Labourer and Saw Mill Hand. Edward died in 1977.
