Mr G. Weatherill
The death occurred suddenly at his residence, Western Junction, on Saturday of Mr George Weatherill, engineer for Australian National Airways. Mr Weatherill, who was aged 58, had suffered from  heart trouble for a considerable time. A native of England, he came to Australia in 1912 and settled in West Australia. He was on the staff of West Australian Airways for 10 years. He served with No. 3  Squadron, AFC, in France during the First World War and was mentioned in despatches.
Mr Weatherill came to Western Junction in 1934 when Holyman's began an air service to the Mainland. He transferred to ANA. He is survived by a wife and "a son (Mr Jack Weatherill). Cremation will take place privately today.
