Biography

Theo, as he was known, was the 4th child of Harry Edward Feutrill & Elizabeth Ellenor Sutton, he enlisted on 2 AUG 1915 at Kalgoorlie, six months after his eldest sibling, Harry Edward Feutrill Jnr. Theo left Fremantle, WA on 13 OCT 1915 onboard HMAT A32 "Themistocles", never to return to his homeland or family as he was killed in Pozieres.

There are conflicting reports on his death, one reason for this is his older brother also served in the 11th Battalion but the most common account seem to be that Theo was shelled and placed in a shell crater for safety when another shell landed nearby  resulting in Theo being buried with soil, his death is listed as 22-25 JUL 1916, again the most common account seems to be 24 JUL 1916. He was just a boy of 19.
