"Mr. Reginald Harry Putt, well-known resident of Stagpole Street, West End, and formerly of South Townsville, passed away suddenly early on Wednesday morning, aged 45 years. The deceased was a plumber by trade, and at the time of his death was on the staff of Cathcart and Ritchie, with whom he received his early training. A keen sailing enthusiast, and a veteran of World War I, he is survived by his widow and grown up family." - TROVE (nla.gov.au)
