Served his stonemasonary appenticeship with D. Kirkland, Ayr, Scotland.

Next of kin was given as his sister Isa Osborne of Bordeaux Street, Montreal, Canada.

Commenced return to Australia on 6 October 1919 aboard HT Pakeha disembarking on 24 November 1919 at Melbourne for onward travel to Sydney
